Frozen inside this record is the utterance of a place that I have called my home.
At the Pension Almonde I weathered the pandemic; I stayed safe, I survived, relationally, the first and second lockdowns.

I leave the sound of the room deliberately very present in the recording. Nothing has been done to remove it or to change it. I have minimized the post-production, focusing instead on preserving this document.

Pension Almonde, where I lived, came to an end in May 2021 and will allegedly be demolished by the end of the same year.
The acoustic, by this means, also serves as a kind of forensic architecture, an imprint of a place which eventually will be lost to time.

Recorded on a TASCAM MS-16 at the Whiskey Bar in the basement of the reception of Pension Almonde, Almondestraat 179, Rotterdam in July and August 2020;
